How Lost Should Have Ended
Bill Simmons talks Lost for an hour with writer Carlton Cuse
If you’re like me and like Lost, and ESPN’s sports guy Bill Simmons, and you’ve got an hour to kill, then you should listen to this podcast.
If you don’t have an hour. then here is a basic breakdown of the most interesting points:
- They weren’t sure if they were going to use Ben as the leader of the others. The original bit where no one was sure if he was an other or not was to give the writers an out in case Michael Emerson sucked as an actor.
- The main reason why they killed off Mr. Ecko so early was because he hated Hawaii and asked to get off the show.
- Carlton Cuse admits that the first season they were basically making it up as they go and flying by the seat of their pants
- He apologizes for Season 3 sucking because they weren’t sure how long the show was going to go and they had to add some filler.
- The 3 worst episodes (by fan reaction) are the Nikki and Paulo episode, the episode where Jack goes to Thailand, and last Tuesday’s episode.
- Best episode ever: The Constant
- plus lots more!
Muppets behind the scenes at Lost
In my continuous effort to reblog everything Lost, here is my two favorite things. Muppets and Lost
Lost Aces
So I was watching Smok’n Aces today when I noticed two very familiar faces. Jack Shepherd (Matthew Fox) and Richard Alpert (Nestor Carbonell) were both apparently in the movie and I had never noticed it before.
I think it might just be some kind elaborate flash sideways vision, where Jack is a nerdy casino worker, and Richard is a ruthless hitman.
